»Yesterday everything was still OK … filming with the two main actors«. What this preliminary title suggests develops later into an interwoven movie action. The plot unites a poetic storyfull of humorous and some autobiographical details along with the reflection on filmmaking itself.
One of the most striking protagonist is Alfons Wiesinger, grandfather of the filmmaker and inventor of the perforated parachute with the patent No. DE 1037274 B. The first images show a couple running over tracks – she being a graduate student with a thesis on dragonflies, he being a designer of aircrafts. On the set everything runs smoothly, yet at night the cameraman lies awake. The edited working copy of 1991/1992 on 16mm black & white film material was converted to digital in 2015 and a soundtrack was added by Andreas Gogol. (Thomas Spiegelmann, 2015)
